Busch’s penalty not severe enough
Kurt Busch’s little tirade in the pits against Tony Stewart, which almost took out one of Stewart’s pit crew, may have cost him $100,000, 100 driver and owner points and put him in the garage for the rest of the race. But I don’t think the punishment fit the crime.
First, the money. It ain’t nothing but a thing. A $100,000 to these guys is like $20 bucks to us. Just a little dent into the pocket book. Second, why punish the owner? He wasn’t the one who made the mistake. Third, putting him in the garage for the rest of the race ws protecting everyone else against any further tirades that day. Now add another five races to sit at home to think about it and I bet he does think twice befor doing it again. It would be very hard to see someone else driving your car on Sunday when it should be you. Lastly, a 100 driver points is a lot, but Busch, as a driver should be made ineligable for the Chase as well.
Well there is how I stand on the whole Kurt Busch thing. What is your opinion? Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
