Gordon, Hendricks win again
Now this is getting old. This is the tenth race this year that the Hendricks Racing team has won and the fourth victory this season and 81st career for Jeff Gordon, who climbed within two wins of tying Cale Yarborough for fifth place on the all-time list.
Will the domination ever stop? Someone needs to step up and put these guys back in their place.
In yet another race that was affected by the weather, Gordon came out on top as the race was stopped a few laps past the half way point. The rain was certainly not second place finisher Ryan Newman’s friend as he was a half a lap from overtaking Gordon, as Newman’s car was obviously faster and Gordon was losing his tire grip.
In the point standings, Jimmie Johnson fell to fourth as he finished a dismal 42nd, Kenseth and Hamlin moved up to second and third respectively as we come close to half way point in the season.
Till the next Pit Stop…..
