Rookie Update
Nothing has really changed in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings as Juan Pablo Montoya hangs on to a narrow four point lead over David Ragan. But with a few more finishes like the one at Michigan, then things may start to change. Paul Menard, David Reutimann and A. J. Allmendinger finish out the field of rookies and they are fifty plus points out.
The points are based on the top 17 race finishes through out the year, so this 43rd place probably won’t effect Montoya at all. But I get the feeling that Montoya may not be so popular as everyone thinks as the was a loud cheer from the Turn One crowd when he crashed into the wall. What so you think?
